Close to 25,000 gazetted officers of the Rajasthan government may fail to get promoted as they are yet to file their immovable property returns (IPR) despite repeated reminders and date extensions, a department of personnel spokesperson said.
The department of personnel has warned the erring officials and directed them to file their IPR by May 31, failing which they would be denied increment/promotion payable from July 1.
Directions to upload IPR online were given to the gazetted officers. Complying the directions of the state government 84,945 officers have filed IPR online, the spokesperson said.
There are about 1.15 lakh gazetted officers posted at various government departments and bodies across the state.
According to the rules, officials had to file their returns by January 1, 2018.
