Auto parts manufacturing firm raided by Income Tax dept

The Income Tax Department today conducted a raid at the premises of a leading auto parts manufacturing firm here to check tax evasion.

Confirming the raid, Income Tax Department (Investigation) Director H S Sohi, who was supervising the search operation, said the raid was simultaneously being conducted on all the seven premises of the firm.

However, he refused to divulge any information about the raid.
