Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav today accused the BJP of trying to divide people on communal lines ahead of the 2019 general elections after "failing to fulfil even a single promise".
To a question on Kasganj violence, he said, "They (BJP) have not been able to fulfil even a single promise and now they will try to divide people on communal lines as they have no other option left."
He alleged that members of a particular community were being targeted.
Yadav, who was here to attend a wedding in the Ghiror area, told newspersons, "We have always opposed atrocities notwithstanding caste and community.
