Body of unidentified girl found in canal in UP

An unidentified body of a girl was found floating in Ganga canal near Kheri Firozabad village here, police said today.

The body was found yesterday, they said.

It is being suspected the girl, in her 20s, was murdered and then thrown in the canal, police said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, they said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
