Boy dies after consuming insecticide

A four-year-old boy died while a girl is in serious condition after consuming insecticide here, police said today.

Police said the children found a packet containing the insecticide meant for killing ants.

They tasted it and finding it sweet, consumed the lot.

Locals rushed the children to hospital. While the boy died en route, the girl is in serious condition at the government hospital here, police added.
