Cardamom futures stay soft on sluggish demand

Cardamom prices dropped 0.92 per cent to Rs 912 per kg in futures trading today for the second straight day after speculators trimmed positions amid subdued demand in the spot market.
At Multi-Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May fell Rs 8.50, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 912 per kg in business turnover of eight lots.
Analysts said easing demand at prevailing levels in the spot market against adequate stock position mainly kept cardamom prices lower.
