Chana prices fell 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,596 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators reduced their exposures amid low demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in February declined by Rs 14, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,596 per quintal with an open interest of 33,920 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for delivery in April contract shed Rs 4, or 0.11 per cent to Rs 3,690 per quintal in 1,75,780 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to sluggish demand in spot market against adequate stocks position mainly weighed on chana prices at futures trade.
