Chennai rainbow festival to start from June 7

The three-day Chennai Rainbow Film Festival will commence here on June 7, showcasing a variety of domestic and international short films and other activities relating to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.

Chennai Dost, a support group for Gay, Bisexual men and women in Chennai, in association with Alliance Francaise will screen about 30 short films and documentaries to "counter issues of invisibility and misinformation by providing a forum for viewing films that depict our lives and loves."

A photo exhibition and award function are also scheduled as part of the event.
