Child dies in house fire

The police said the incident took place at Hatigaon area of Guwahati.

The fire destroyed around 15 huts. The girl's body was recovered from one of the huts.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and managed to prevent the flame from spreading further.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
