Chinese leader Yang Jeichi meets Maha Governor

State Councilor of the People's Republic of China, Yang Jeichi met Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan here today.

Jeichi, who enjoys the rank of a Cabinet Minister in China, was accompanied by a high level delegation, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.

Stating that the Indo-China ties date back to several centuries, Jeichi stressed the need for further strengthening economic cooperation with Maharashtra and improving cultural and student exchanges.
