Chris Evans, Jenny Slate make red carpet debut as couple

Actor Chris Evan and girlfriend Jenny Slate made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the premiere of the new animated film "The Secret Life of Pets" in New York.

The 35-year-old "Captain America" star was their to support his lady love, who has given the voice of Gidget, a white Pomeranian in the film, reported E! online.

Slate, 34 wore a red lace boat neck dress while the actor sported a light polo shirt and dark pants.

"The Secret Life of Pets was fantastic! @jennyslate was a personal favorite," Evans tweeted.

The two posed while standing close together.
