Coldest day in Delhi this season

Delhi today experienced the coldest day of the season so far with the mercury dipping to 5.2 degrees Celsius which is three notches below average.

The minimum temperature which was recorded at Safdarjung observatory, considered the official for the national capital, was down from yesterday's low of 8 degrees Celsius, a MeT official said.

The minimum temperature at Lodhi Road observatory recorded a low of 4.2 degrees Celsius even as Palam registered 6.5 degrees. In Ridge and Ayanagar, the minimum temperature was 8.4 and 6.8 degrees respectively.

The maximum temperature settled at 23.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the official said.
 

The humidity oscillated between 94 and 32 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted clear skies for tomorrow.

"The skies will be mainly clear. Shallow to moderate fog would occur at many places in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 21 and 6 degrees Celsius," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.3 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
