Union Minister Krishan Pal Gujjar today directed the authorities to complete Faridabad-Agra six-lane highway by 2015.
The Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, after inspecting the progress of the work here, said the highway will be very helpful for the people of the area.
"The project will cost nearly Rs three crore and cover a distance of 179.9 km," he told reporters.
Pointing out that the pace of the work is "very slow", he said, "The tender was issued in 2010 and till date only 7 per cent progress has taken place and 22-23 per cent financial work has been done. The deadline of the project is 2015.
