Congress objects to BJYM's cartoon of PM

The party termed the depiction of turban in such objectionable manner as against the religious beliefs of Sikh community and demanded an unconditional apology from the BJP leaders.

"The cartoons of Singh and Ahluwalia on the issue of poverty depicted their turban in an objectionable manner and their heads are not properly covered. These are put up by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)," State Congress spokesman Narendra Singh Saluja told reporters.

Saluja said that for the Sikh community, turban is associated with religious beliefs and by depicting them in such a manner the BJP have hurt their religious sentiments.

 

He demanded an unconditional apology from BJP President Nitin Gadkari, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and State BJP President Prabhat Jha on the issue and stern action against those responsible for it. PTI HWP MAS NSK RAI
