A police constable, presently posted in the Special Task Force unit, was shot at by unidentified persons in Sardhana area here today, police said.
Ashutosh Tyagi, 34, was shot at when he was going somewhere on his motorcycle, they said.
Tyagi was admitted to hospital, where his condition has been stated as critical.
The motive behind the crime is yet to be ascertained and efforts are being made to arrest the persons involved in the incident, according to police.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old property dealer Pradeep was shot at and injuried near Sindhaniya village tonight.
Pradeep suffered a bullet wound in the stomach, police said adding he was admitted to a hospital, where his condition was said to be stable.
