Copra office Kozhikode declined further in an otherwise lacklustre Spice market here due to subdued demand from stockists and traders amid ample arrivals from producing regions.

Meanwhile, rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile large-scale buying activity.

Copra office Kozhikode fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,000 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 9,100.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 635/728 (635/728), ginger bleached (per kg) 225 (225), ginger unbleached (per kg) 245 (245), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,200 (9,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,000 (9,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 17,000 (17,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,800 (11,800).
