Police have arrested four members of a gang which, they claimed, targeted and looted morning walkers in Delhi-NCR area.
The accused revealed that more than 100 cases of robberies in East and North-East districts of Delhi, Gurgaon and adjoining districts of UP were committed by them of which only 23 cases have been registered so far, said Ajay Kumar, DCP of East district police.
The accused -- Imran aka Bhura, Nazim, Imran aka Ballu and Shahnawaj -- are natives of Pasonda village of Sahibabad in UP, police said.

The DCP said, "The gang members used to accost and then loot morning walkers and pedestrians spotted in the early morning by threatening them with country-made pistols."
The four accused were marked out by the STF of East district police through surveillance and monitoring and were arrested near Bhuteshwar Mandir on Nala Road in Krishna Nagar area, he said.
Four country-made pistols and two motorcycles were recovered from them.
"About 15-16 members of the gang involved in robberies are still at large and efforts are on to arrest them," Kumar added.
