Cottonseed oilcake prices were higher by Rs 31 to Rs 2,340 per quintal in futures market today amid a firm trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in April month climbed up by Rs 31 or 1.34 per cent to Rs 2,340 per quintal, with an open interest of 18,960 lots.
On similar lines, the most-active delivery in May month contracts also advanced by Rs 28, or 1.20 per cent to Rs 2,360 per quintal, in an open interest of 73,480 lots.
Marketmen attributed rise in cottonseed oilcake futures prices to a firming trend at the physical markets on rising demand.
