Cottonseed oilcake prices were down by Rs 13 to Rs 2,227 per quintal in futures trade today as traders cut down their bets, tracking a weak trend at the physical markets.
Marketmen said besides increased arrivals, slack in demand at existing levels in spot markets mainly kept pressure on cottonseed oilcake prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in most-active February declined by Rs 13 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 2,227 per quintal, in an open interest of 71,530 lots.
While, contracts for delivery in March also dropped by Rs 13 or 0.57 per cent to Rs 2,257 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 47,130 lots.
