Country seeing first fireworks: Chidambaram on BJP revolt

Former union minister P Chidambaram tonight took a swipe at the rumblings in the BJP, saying the country was seeing "the first fireworks" on the eve of Diwali.

"On the eve of Diwali, we are witnessing the first fireworks. No surprises there," he tweeted soon after BJP veterans, including L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, raised a banner of revolt against Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
