Couple kill depressed son, commit suicide

A couple allegedly poisoned to death their 30-year old unemployed son in despondency over his mental health problem and ended their own lives near Vadipatti in the district, police said.

60-year old Kulandaivelu, a farm worker, and his wife Dhanapandiammal (58) consumed poison after feeding it to their son Palpandi, a B.Com graduate, who had psychic problem for the past two years as he did not get a job.

A suicide note left by them stated that no one was responsible for their death, police said.
