Couple killed as truck hits their bike

A young couple were killed and their child injured when a truck hit their bike on Muzaffarnagar-Shamli road in the district, police said today.

The incident occurred last evening near Baghra and the deceased have been identified as Vikrant (25) and his wife, Ankita (23), police said.

The injured child has been admitted to hospital for treatment, they further said.

The driver fled the spot after the accident, they said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
