Couple swallow poisonous substance, both die

A couple today allegedly committed suicide following some family dispute in Gopiganj area here, police said.

Shiv Shanker Yadav, aged 27, had a tiff with his wife Anita (22) after which he allegedly swallowed some poisonous substance, they said.

He was rushed to a hospital in Varanasi where he died, police said.

Later, Anita also consumed the same substance in her home and died, they said.
