Crude palm oil falls by 0.4% on subdued demand

Speculators offloaded positions amid subdued demand in the physical market against adequate stocks

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.44% to Rs 445.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions amid subdued demand in the physical market against adequate stocks.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May shed Rs 2, or 0.44%, to Rs 445.70 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 32 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in June traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.09% to Rs 443.10 per 10 kg in 126 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators and subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks mainly led to the fall in crude palm oil futures.
