Police have made a sketch of the woman, accused in the gruesome murder case of a 42-year-old government doctor here.
The sketch was prepared based on the description provided by the employees of the hotel where the doctor was found dead and the courier company which was used to deliver the severed private part of the doctor to his wife, police said.
When asked whether a woman friend of the doctor has been taken into custody, Kanpur Dehat Superintendent of Police K S Singh did not confirm the detention but said that they are very close to nabbing the accused woman.

The woman is believed to be 23-24 years old with a wheatish complexion. She was wearing salwar kameez and carrying a black bag on the day of the murder, he said.
Dr Satish Chandra, posted at Amrodha Primary Health Centre in Kanpur Dehat area, 80 kilometres from here, was killed with his throat and private part slit on July 21 at a hotel in Rania area where he had checked in with a woman. He was found dead by a hotel waiter as the back door of the room was found open and the woman missing.
The woman accused of the crime is also suspected to have tried to courier the victim's severed private part to his wife, as en route to delivering the package, the courier employee saw blood stains on the package and contacted the police who seized the parcel after seeing its contents.
Meanwhile, FIR against 60 unidentified persons has been filed for creating a ruckus in protest of the killing, the SP said.
Some locals and relatives of the doctor had jammed the roads and vandalised the hotel alleging conspiracy by the hotel staff, he added.
The deceased's brother has filed an FIR against an unknown doctor, hotel manager Anup Srivastav, and three other hotel employees, according to the police.
The SP said that the five accused are in police custody and are cooperating with the police.
