Nine African-origin men were arrested in the city after cocaine was seized from their possession in the wee hours today, police said.

A police patrolling team intercepted a vehicle on the Eastern Freeway in south Mumbai around 1 AM, said a senior official of the Anti-Narcotics Cell.

There were nine men, all of African origin, inside. The police found that one of them had a polythene bag which contained 104 gm of cocaine and 9 gm of mephedrone. Two of the men were also carrying knives, the official said.
