Emami's UK subsidiary dissolved due to 'insignificant biz ops'

FMCG firm Emami today said its wholly-owned subsidiary Emami UK Ltd has been dissolved.
"Emami UK Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has been dissolved as per the provisions of the laws of United Kingdom," Emami said in a BSE filing.
While the company did not elaborate on the reason for dissolving the UK firm, it clarified that "the said company was having insignificant business operations."
Shares of Emami closed 0.84 per cent up at Rs 1,083 apiece on the BSE.
