Engineer killed by gang while walking on road

: An engineer was hacked to death this evening by a gang as he was walking along a road near a hospital at Avarampalayam area in the city, police said.

They said the car borne intercepted the 23-year man, attacked him with knives and sickles in full public view.

The reason for the murder was yet to be ascertained, they said.
