The body of a 19-year-old student, enrolled in a private engineering college here, was found on a rail track on the Phagwara-Jalandhar section, the Government Railway Police said today.
Gurpreet, a resident of village Gandwan here, was found dead on the rail track near Chaheru Railway Station yesterday, they said.
Gurpreet was a student of Diploma in Civil Engineering in a private college here.
He had left his home two days back, the GRP said adding they were trying to ascertain whether Gurpreet had committed suicide or met with an accident.
The body was handed over to the family after post mortem.
