Press Trust of India New Delhi
Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel today directed Chief Secretary M M Kutty to ensure that written answers sought by the members during Question Hour are "correct" and provided to them on time after some of the MLAs raised the issue of "wrong" reply given by officers concerned.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has also ordered action against the officers who have not given answers to questions asked by legislators.

The matter was raised today by Tri Nagar AAP MLA Jitender Singh Tomar in the Assembly after he found that the written answer provided by the department concerned is "not correct".

Thereafter, some other legislators also complained that answers to their questions are not provided by the departments on time.

"I direct the Chief Secretary to ensure that all answers are provided to all MLAs on time," Goel said during the Winter Session which concluded today.

Later, Sisodia said he has ordered action against those officers who don't provide written reply to questions of MLAs.
