A 50-year-old farmer was killed when lightning struck him at a village in Krishna district, police said today.
The incident took place at Interu village when Thammu Govindarajulu was working at his field, Kruthivennu police station sub-inspector Lavaraju said.
He had gone to the field last evening but did not return. His family members found him dead this morning, the officer said, adding a case was registered in this connection and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
