'Festival of India' begins in Oman

A 'Festival of India' began today in Oman to showcase the country's diverse culture.

The event will witness classical and folk dances, music shows, Indian cuisine fest and exhibition on Islamic art calligraphy, among others, an official release here said.

The festival, which will come to an end on March 24 next year, will be held in four cities -- Muscat, Sur, Sohar and Salalah, it added.
