Fire in city building, doused

Fire broke out on the third

floor of a commercial building in the central part of the city this evening.

The fire broke out inside a closed office on the third floor of a multi-storied building on Princep Street at around 4.45 PM today, a fire brigade official said.

Seven fire tenders fought for around an hour and doused the fire, he said adding there were no casualties.

The reason behind the incident is being investigated, he added.
