Four undertrials escape, 6 policemen suspended

Four undertrials escaped from Patna City court here today following which six policemen were suspended for dereliction of duty.

Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said the four undertrials were kept in the prison cell in Patna City Court for presentation from where they fled taking advantage of unlocked gate.

The four were facing trial in various crimes under Arms Act and dacoity.

All six policemen have been suspended on charge of dereliction of duty, the SSP added.
