Gastro outbreak in East Midnapore villages, 100 affected

Around 100 people as an outbreak of gastroenteritis was reported in two villages under Chandrakona Town police station of East Midnapore district, CMOH Dr G C Bera said today.

Altogether 37 were hospitalised while a medical team has been sent to the area.

A large section of people of Chaltabandi and Inda villages drink water coming out from shallow pumps and that caused the problem since last night, Bera said.
