Girl abducted, gangraped in Pratapgarh

A girl was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by three persons in Mandhata area here, police said today.

The victim's family have alleged in a complaint that their daughter was kidnapped by the trio on May 26 when she had gone to collect her examination results. She was spotted by the family on a bus stand two days later, they said.

The girl was also raped by the three accused, the complaint said.

A case of rape has been registered against the accused and they were arrested yesterday, police said adding, further investigations are on in the case.
