Government doctor arrested for accepting bribe

A government doctor was arrested by the Lokayukta police for allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe from a gardener to regularise his employment.
Gardener Manohar Dangi had paid the doctor, identified as Dr D S Verma, a civil surgeon in district hospital, Rs 5,000 and was handing over another Rs 10,000 when the Lokayukta police team caught the accused at his residence, DSP Rajkumar Sharma told reporters today.
There are complaints of irregularities by Verma, who was also the in-charge of the recent recruitment examination of data entry operators.
