Guj CM visits Vaghela's office, wishes him on birthday

In a goodwill gesture, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today personally greeted the Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Shankersinh Vaghela on his 75th birthday by visiting him in his chamber.

Patel, accompanied by BJP chief whip Pankaj Desai, his Congress counterpart Balwantsinh Rajput, Vaghela's son and MLA Mahendrasinh Vaghela among others, visited the Congress leader's office in the Assembly building and presented him a bouquet.

Later, Assembly Speaker Vaju Vala started the proceedings by wishing Vaghela a healthy life on behalf of all legislators.

Overwhelmed by Patel's gesture, Vaghela later said in a release that he was thankful to the Chief Minister for coming to his office personally.
 

"I thank all those who wished me on my birthday. I especially thank the CM for coming to my office with a bouquet and to greet me on the occasion," he said, adding that he wished that monsoon gains momentum in upcoming month of 'Shravan'.
