Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today paid a surprise visit to Anaj Mandi (grain market) here to oversee the ongoing procurement of wheat.
He directed the concerned officers to speed up the lifting of wheat from the mandis and ensure payment of arrears to farmers within next two days.
The Chief Minister also interacted with Aarthis (commission agents) and got first hand information about the situation of procurement at the level of government.

He said almost entire crop of Rabi Season has arrived in different mandis across the state.
The procurement is being made by the government agencies at Minimum Support Price, he added.
