House maid found dead in mysterious circumstances

A 17-year-old domestic help was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside the house of her employer in Sector-8 area here today.

Asha was working at the house for the last one year and was found hanging in her room this morning.

The owner of the house, Sanjay Gupta and his wife Manju Gupta, carried Asha to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival, police said.

While the police was tight-lipped on the cause of the death, doctor Virendra Yadav, Deputy CMO B K Hospital said that the death was caused due to hanging.

However, the hanging was a suicide or an act of killing can only be known after the results of viscera and chemical examination are received, he said.
