India builds library for Nepali academicians

KP Oli today inaugurated a library building built with India's financial assistance.

The three-storied Academy library located in the heart of would provide research and reference facilities to the researchers and academicians of and Nepal, the here said in a statement.

Established in 1957, the Academy is a body devoted to language, literature, art, culture and philosophy. It is equivalent to India's Sahitya Akademi.

The library, built with Indian assistance of NRs 43.94 million, would also have facility of an advanced offset press for printing books, the statement said.

The library would not only enhance the friendly ties between and Nepal but also help develop a strong bond among artists and academicians of the two countries, it added.
