Taking serious note of the influx of outsiders to Arunachal Pradesh without valid Inner Line Permit (ILP), the state government has ordered for intensive checking of ILP compliance of visitors to the state.

In an order issued today, Chief Secretary H K Paliwal directed the deputy commissioners to carry out the intensive drive to ensure that no person without proper ILP issued by competent authority is found in the state.

Those found without ILP should be deported immediately after taking due action with special emphasis laid on foreign nationals, the order said.

Such drives are conducted by the state government at regular intervals but stress has been laid on intensifying the operation in order to ensure no unscrupulous people get into the state, official sources said.

The CS has further directed for immediate compliance of the order and asked the DCs to submit a report on the action taken by July 15.
