Police today claimed to have busted a gang of inter-state vehicles lifters with the arrest of at least six members and recovered 15 vehicles worth Rs 1.25 crore from them.
More recoveries are expected as two members of the gang are still at large, police said.
The six persons arrested here after a tip off have been identified as Jagsheer Singh Sheera (27), Amritpal Singh alias Goldy (21), Maggar Singh (42), Pawan Kumar (21), Satish Kumar alias Romi (24) and Rajvir Singh alias Bachi (19).
Sheera was allegedly the mastermind of the gang and many cases of vehicle theft were registered against him. All the other gang members are also history sheeters, they said.
