Jaipur, Chandigarh freight rates up on tight trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Jaipur and Chandigarh improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight position of trucks.

Transporters said tight position of trucks against pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up rates for select destinations.

Delhi to Chandigarh and jaipur freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 15,000 and Rs 14,000.

Elsewhere, rest other destinations freight rates hovered around overnight levels on some support.
