Former "X Factor" winner James Arthur has resigned with Simon Cowell's record label Syco two years after being let go.

Arthur, 28, was dropped from the label in 2014 after a series of public controversies, but recently the singer has made a chart comeback with latest single "Say You Won't Let Go", reported Contactmusic.

A spokesperson for Syco confirmed they had resigned Arthur, saying: "We can confirm that James Arthur is now once again signed to Syco Music in the UK. We are delighted to welcome him back into the Syco fold."

Arthur's career began to turn around when he signed with Sony Germany and was taken on by the James Grant management group, who also represent stars including Louis Tomlinson and Ant & Dec.

His second album Back From The Edge will be released by Colombia Records on November 4, 2016.
