A Japanese team will carry out a feasibility study for setting up a Clean Authority in Telangana state, a senior official said today.
A 10-member Japanese delegation comprising delegates from Clean Authority of Tokyo today met the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Navin Mittal and discussed the steps to be taken towards forming the Clean Authority in the state.
"It was decided that a feasibility study will be undertaken which will cover the details of input and output conditions, investigations on suitable specifications, identification of the equipment suppliers and civil contractors," according to an official release.

The study will also include financial analysis, land requirement and water requirement etc.
The type of scientific equipment additionally needed by the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) for achieving the proposed municipal solid waste goals will also be a part of the feasibility study, it said.
The Japanese delegation during their three-day visit to Telenagana visited three waste processing locations besides the TSPCB office and the laboratory to understand the facilities available for testing and appreciated the same.
