Jay Z to produce series about first African-American Sniper

Rapper Jay Z is reportedly producing a new series about the first African-American sniper Nicholas Irving
Jay Z is teaming up with NBC to produce the drama, reported the Nw York Post.
Irving was the first African-American to serve as a special ops sniper in his battalion, and the US Army 3rd Ranger Battalion's deadliest sniper.

The actor, who will star as Nicholas Irving, is "The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story" star Sterling K Brown, who won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role as Christopher Darden.
The six-hour miniseries is reportedly based on Irving's 2015 memoir, "The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers."
The rights to the book were picked up by the Weinstein Company, which just announced a first-look deal with Jay Z, 46.
"The series will take a look inside the life of the world of special ops. The plan is to start filming early next year," a source said.
Representatives for Jay Z, Weinstein and NBC haven't commented on the report yet.
