JMM seeks more time from Guv for government formation

Calling on the governor for the first time after submitting his party's withdrawal letter, JMM leader Hemant Soren informed Ahmed that he was in dialogue with 'like-minded' parties who were interested in forming the government, according to Raj Bhavan sources here.

"Only 38 MLAs (in the 82-member House) are in favour of dissolution of the House while others favour formation of government. So allow us some more time as we are holding talks on formation of government with other parties," the sources said quoting Soren as having told the governor. MORE
