Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajatantrik (JVM) and Jharkhand Disom Party (JDP) have principally agreed to work together on people-oriented issues and protect the interest of the tribal community in the state.
Marandi has agreed in principle to work together with JDP on people's issues following a meeting between him and a 17-member delegation of JDP at Ranchi on Thursday, said JDP president Salkhan Murmu here today.
Murmu said the leaders of JDP, which had merged with BJP ahead of the last parliamentary elections, have decided to leave BJP and revive JDP again.

JDP leaders as well as its social organisation 'Adivasi Sengel Abhiyan' (ASA), at its meeting held on September 14 had taken a decision to revive JDP from January 2016 and launch an agitation in support of tribal interest, he said.
Marandi has given his consent to be the chief guest at a rally to be organised by ASA in protest against the construction of Icha-Kharkhai Dam, oppose the government's proposal to set up three steel plants in tribal-populated Kolhan region, domicile policy and displacement proposal of 136 villages around the Dalma Hills, Murmu, a former MP, said.
He said JDP did not have any plan to merge with JVM, but would work together in the interest of tribal community.
