Kumar calls for using NSG module to train J K police commandos

Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Governor K Vijay Kumar today called for using modules of elite National Security Guards (NSG) for training the commandos of the state police.

He made these observations during a visit to Commando Training Centre (CTC) at Lethpora in Pulwama district where he interacted with the trainees and the instructors of police.

Kumar was accompanied by Director General of Police S P Vaid, Principal CTC J P Singh and other senior officers of the department.

He vouched for the use of the training modules of the best forces of the country, including that of National Security Guards (NSGs), and equip the policemen with modern techniques, an official spokesman said.

 

The advisor was informed that the training for the commandos was a continuous process and they were being trained to deal with any crisis or hostage-like situation.

Kumar said the latest techniques of training introduced by the Jammu and Kashmir Police have proved useful to get desired results.
